Summer in irving was fun, got to hang out with all my friends and chill with some people that i hadn't spent much time with in a couple years. Now i'm back in austin, living 4 blocks from campus and gettin busy on all of my classes. Hope everyone out there is doing great. |

| so my first film got shown in front of the whole class. it was exciting. my heart was beating so fast i thought it would explode. i think everyone liked it, and i think they got it. it is purposely ambiguous beyond the basic events of the movie, and i think there was a mixed reaction to that, but those are my favorite kind of movies (i.e. donnie darko) i'm gonna go explain some of it to the professor, but he caught on to the idea that it was probably purposefully ambiguous, and he compared it to a david lynch piece. i'm pretty sure that's a good thing. anyway, i think i'll get a really good grade and i've developed a compelling argument for my film in case i don't. now i just gotta write a script for my next movie. i want to make it as compelling as my first one, but it's so hard to come up with ideas. i think i've settled on a mockumentary about a guy who enters a minesweeper tournament.
